Usage Guide
Usage Guide
Use of the Proteomics & Metabolomics Laboratory is divided into Analysis Service Requests, Collaborative Research Requests, and Personal-Use Equipment (NS300, AFC) that researchers operate themselves. Analysis proceeds after the test content, experiment schedule, and analysis methods have been fully discussed through consultation.
Note - The Proteomics Laboratory does not exercise any rights over the use of analysis results (papers, patents). Additional services beyond providing the results report - such as paper submission or research-fund result reports - are not provided.
Analysis Service Request Procedure
For an analysis service, the Proteomics & Metabolomics Laboratory staff performs the analysis according to the following procedure.
Consultation Reception (separate form per field)
Proteomics (Mass Spectrometry)
Proteomics (Olink)
Metabolomics
Submit Analysis Consultation
- Describe the analysis topic and content and inquire using the field-specific consultation form
Consultation with Staff
- Consultation on sample condition, quantity, analysis method, schedule, etc.
Submit Analysis Request Confirmation
- Complete, sign, and submit the "Analysis Request Confirmation"
Deliver Specimens
- Deliver the specimens required for the experiment
Specimen & Data Analysis
Deliver Results Report
- Prepare the results report and deliver it to the requester
Analysis Fee Billing & Payment (following month)
- Researchers make payment after receiving the invoice
Collaborative Research Request Procedure
Collaborative research is conducted by discussing all aspects of the research together from the planning or starting stage. Analysis costs vary by project depending on the establishment of experimental methods, whether preliminary experiments are required, material costs, and so on.
Paper Submission
As a rule, submission should be made within 1 year (up to 3 years) after the final analysis results are delivered.
Authorship
Authorship is determined according to contribution and participation.
Intellectual Property
At least one person from the Proteomics & Metabolomics Laboratory participates as a co-inventor.
